DR. ARDESHIR NADIMI, M.D., FAAD,

FACMS is board-certified both as a dermatologist and as a micrographic dermatologic surgeon. He completed an American College of Mohs Surgery fellowship in Mohs surgery/dermatologic oncology at the nationally-recognized Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, in a direct lineage of trainees linked to the inventor of Mohs surgery, Dr. Frederic Mohs.

Dr. Nadimi specializes in the treatment of skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and other rare skin cancers. He performs 1,500-2000 Mohs surgeries annually — inclusive of rare, difficult-to-treat tumors — including complex reconstructions after removal of the tumor. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Nadimi earned his medical doctorate from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he was inducted by his peers into the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, followed by a three-year Dermatology residency at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center.

Dr. Nadimi has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts in the dermatology literature related to skin cancer, is the author of a textbook chapter on advanced skin cancer reconstruction, and has presented original research at national conferences.

After spending three years as a full-time Mohs surgeon in his hometown of Washington, D.C., Dr. Nadimi enthusiastically returns to Southern California to provide his unique surgical skills and patient-centered approach to the South Bay community.

Dr. Nadimi’s treatment philosophy revolves around listening very closely to his patients to come up with a mutually agreed-upon plan. He believes in the healing power of the physician-patient relationship. Dr. Nadimi is fluent in Spanish and Persian (Farsi). Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and close friends, playing tennis or basketball at Venice Beach, weight training, watching videos of cute animals, hiking, listening to all genres of music, and rooting for the Washington Commanders.
